Mrs. McCarter

I am currently entering my 14th year of teaching and my 6th year as a virtual teacher.  I graduated from The University of North Florida with a degree in Math Education 6 - 12.  I have been married for 13 years, have two beautiful twins, and 3 dogs.  Please don't hesitate to reach out to me via email, text or phone if you have any questions or concerns about your math class.  My number one goal is help you be successful this year :)

Ms. Thompson

I've been teaching since 2009 and teaching virtually since 2011.  I've taught various math and science classes online over those years including all middle school math and middle school science, AP Statistics, AP Biology, Geometry, Algebra 1, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Space Science, Environmental Science and Physical Science.  I attended the University of Miami (Go 'Canes) for my B.S. in Microbiology and Immunology; I also have minors in Math, Chemistry and History.  So, basically, I love learning about nearly every subject :)   I also enjoy reading (my Kindle is always within reaching distance of my fingers), listening to music of most nearly every genre and watching TV and movies.

I’ve had a deep love for math and engineering since my elementary school days. This passion led me to Florida A & M University where I earned a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering and a minor in mathematics.  A strong desire to teach and make a positive difference in the lives of others prompted me to change careers and become an educator. For thirteen years, I taught 8th grade Mathematics and Algebra I in Tampa, FL.  I also was an adjunct professor at Hillsborough Community College. This is my second year as an online math instructor. I’m committed to provide a quality educational experience that will motivate, inspire, and empower each student to excel.  I enjoy spending time with family and being my son’s #1 cheerleader as a soccer mom and dance mom.
